Making a gift decision is a spiritual matter between each person and God. There is no set formula, but each of us can ask ourselves: 1. Does this commitment make a difference to me? Does it represent a step of faith that will change my life? 2. Is this a decision I am willing to pray about, genuinely seeking Godís guidance? 3. Is this a decision reached after I have had a significant conversation with my family and my larger family of faith? 4. Have I thought creatively about how I can put together a comprehensive giving plan that represents what I can do? What could I sacrifice? What priorities could I change to free resources to make a gift? |
