| Our Mission To reach Highland and beyond for Christ… Our Challenge In August 2004 our church family relocated to the present facility with much excitement and anticipation, standing in awe of what our God had provided. At the close of the building construction, additions and cost overruns plus necessary equipment required us to borrow additional funds bringing our total indebtedness to just under 3 million. Anticipated regular tithes and offerings to the General Fund in 2009 are inadequate to meet operating costs for the ministry of the church, principal and interest requirements of outstanding indebtedness, and necessary capital additions. It is further anticipated that there may be similar inadequacies for 2010 and 2011 in the General Fund. We have successfully made room for hundreds of people who can benefit eternally from expanding the ministry, outreach, and impact of Bible Baptist Church locally and globally. Now we want to ensure that we finish what we have begun by addressing the financial aspects of our relocation. Our Solution Accordingly,we feel that the Lord has lead us into a Stewardship Program entitled Building Generations of Faith. The program is designed to invest in and meet these needs and to fulfill a carefully-formulated plan to ensure our church’s future for generations yet to come. In 2010, the members of Bible Baptist Church will be encouraged to consider commitment above and beyond their regular giving. Our Goals: 1. To finish the parking lot before winter 2009. 2. We are asking everyone to a higher level of commitment to the church’s vision and higher level of living. 3. We are asking everyone to tithe who is not yet tithing, and those who are tithing we are asking you to give “as God prospers you” and then we are asking you to become debt free in your personal finances. To Build Generations of Faith, we are inviting you to join us on a spiritual journey of self-sacrifice, increased faith, and a whole new level of trusting God. When the above is achieved, it is anticipated that tithes and offerings to the General Fund will be adequate to: (a) Meet operating costs for the ministry of Bible Baptist Church. (b) Pay the principal and interest requirement on the outstanding indebtedness. (c) Allow future increases in tithes and offerings to the General Fund to flow into ministry expansion Together let’s “Build Generations of Faith” by reaching Highland and beyond for Christ! |
